State Security Service conducted an investigation in connection with suspicions regarding the mitigation of the sentence of prisoner Elgun Huseynov. The Ministry of Justice was suspected by the submitted statement of reconciliation by the legal heir to the victim. During the investigation, it was found that the document was drawn up fictitiously through a computer program.
“This action contains signs of cybercrime, so the materials were transferred to the state security service. During the investigation in the criminal case instituted on this fact, it was found that Sanan Mekhtiev, Etibar Mekhtiev and Vasif Ismailov, who had previously served his sentence in the same The correctional institution that Elgun Huseynov, having been released, entered into a criminal conspiracy, and by order of some convicts prepared on behalf of the victims of the allegedly certified fake statements with the QR code about reconciliation and compensation for damage.
They created a fake page with an interface on the Internet, similar to the interface of the official site, where they posted these documents. Thus, during the trials, these statements were submitted as documents confirmed by the QR code. For the early liberation of other prisoners, this criminal group with the same methods, using computer technology, prepared fictitious documents that supposedly reached reconciliation and damage to the injured party, presenting them as intended for exile during trials, thereby committing a criminal act , – says the statement.
Sanan Mekhtiev, Etibar Mehtiev and Vasif Ismailov are prosecuted under Art. 320.1, 273-2 and 294.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, and the electronic page created by them is closed.
