On October 19, Shiite theologian, a member of the Association “Spiritual Archings of Azerbaijan” Sardar Babaev was charged under Art. 274 (Government) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
According to Turan, on the basis of the submission of the investigative body by the decision of the Sabail district court, Baku elected a preventive measure in the form of an arrest for a period of 4 months.
On October 19, along with Babayev, another 4 Shiite theologian were detained. However, about their fate is still nothing unknown.
All detainees studied in Iran and are considered to be launched religious figures.
