Shoigu about slowdown of “special operation” in Ukraine

Slowing down the pace of offensive during the “special military operation” in Ukraine is a conscious decision, it is due to the desire to minimize the victims among the civilian population, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu said.

“During the special operation, we strictly comply with the norms of humanitarian law. The strikes are struck by high -precision weapons on the objects of the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – control points, airfields, warehouses, fortified areas, objects of the military -industrial complex. At the same time, everything is done to avoid victims among peaceful citizens. Of course, this slows down the pace of the offensive, but we are deliberately, ”says Shoigu, quoted by the Russian media.

According to him, the Russian military “in the liberated territories organized systemic work to establish peaceful life.”

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the need for a “special military operation” in Ukraine was dictated by “real threats” by Kyiv to residents of Donbass.

Shoigu again said that the “Special Military Operation” “is on the planned plan, all tasks will be completed”.
