Sholts about likelihood of involving NATO in war in Ukraine

The German government will continue to ensure that NATO does not become a party to the conflict in Ukraine.

This was announced in the Bundestag by the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts.

According to him, Ukraine can count on support in the future, but NATO should not become a party to the conflict.

“We will also take into account this principle,” he said.

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Germany confirmed that it will send to Ukraine Leopard 2 tanks and give out other countries for re -export permits. At the first stage, Germany will provide Ukraine with a company of 14 Leopard-2-AG tanks from the Bundeswehr reserves. Germany’s military aid provides for the solution of logistics, ensuring ammunition and maintenance of the Leopard 2 tanks.
