German Chancellor Olaf Sholts called on the European Union to modernize the decision -making mechanisms in the community, including with the prospect of further expansion, TASS reports.
“The European Union must prepare for expansion. For this, it must modernize its structures and decision -making processes,” he said.
Scholz noted that it will not always be possible to make unanimous decisions on issues that need to be solved today: “And we have to discuss this at the EU summit along with many other topics.”
