Sholts is looking for a replacement for Russian gas

Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts began a trip to the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, where he plans to meet with the rulers of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar. The main topic of negotiations will be energy supplies, reports Deutsche Welle.

Today, in Jidd, the German Chancellor will negotiate energy supplies with the main representatives of the royal family of Saudi Arabia, including the Crown Prince Muhammad Ben Salman. The next day, Sholts will meet with the rulers of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

“During the two -day trip of the Chancellor, accompanied by a business delegation from leading representatives of German business, Berlin hopes to sign specific agreements in the energy sector,” the newspaper writes.
