“If we want this war to end, then we cannot be indifferent than it ends. Russia will abandon its war and ambitions only if it understands that it cannot win. That’s why we will not accept the world , dictated by Russia. That is why we will not accept any ostentatious referenda. And that is why Ukraine should be able to protect itself from Russia. ” This was said by German Chancellor Olaf Sholts, speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York.
He emphasized that Germany supports Ukraine by all means – financially, economically, humanitarian aid, as well as weapons.
“Together with partners around the world, Germany imposed strict economic sanctions against the Russian leadership and economy of Russia. There is not the slightest excuse for the Russian war against Ukraine,” Scholz emphasized.
