From March to August, that is, in fact from the beginning of the war in Ukraine, China has acquired from Russia oil, gas and coal for almost $ 44 billion, follows from the data of China’s customs statistics.
It is noted that this is 74% more than in the same period last year, but so far half as much as the European Union imported, despite the reduction in Europe – 91.5 billion euros.
It is also noted that after the EU introduced in August the embargo to Russian coal, China increased its purchases from Russia to a record 8.5 million tons (an increase of 57% per year).
