Tea export from Turkey in January-July increased by 30 percent compared to the same period last year, to 17 million182 thousand 55 dollars.
About this Anadolu was announced by the deputy head of the Union of Exporters of the Black Sea region Ahmet Hamdi Gürdogan.
According to him, in the first seven months, Turkey exported tea to 109 countries and free zones.
In total, 3,576 tons of tea for 17 million 182 thousand 55 dollars were exported.
In January-July of 2022, the export of Turkish tea reached 13 million 170 thousand 966 dollars, Gürdogan said.
“TOP -3 importers of Turkish tea in the reporting period became Belgium, USA and Great Britain. Exports to Belgium reached 6 million 926 thousand, in the USA – 2 million 210 thousand, in the UK – 1 million 930 thousand dollars”, he said.
