President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking with a video message to European leaders at the conference “solidarity with the Ukrainian people”, called the steps that will help Ukraine withstand the Russian energy terror, writes Israeli Channel 9
Firstly, Ukraine needs “transformers, equipment to restore high-voltage networks, gas turbine and gas piston power units.” Secondly, until the end of the heating season (and maybe longer), the energy system for Ukraine requires “emergency support” from European countries. Thirdly, Zelensky asked to send special missions to representatives of the European Union to the objects of the critical energy infrastructure – by analogy with the Magate delegation, which visited the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
Next, in order to survive the winter, Ukraine needs to buy about two billion cubic meters of gas. For this, Kyiv also needs the help of Western neighbors. The fifth is another important supply point in conditions of constant interruptions with light is low -cost LED lamps. And sixth: it is necessary to establish the “Parisian mechanism” of multilateral meetings, which “will allow timely and effective answers to each call of the Russian energy terror.”
According to Zelensky, the solution of these six tasks “will not only allow Ukraine to survive in winter, but also clearly proves any anti -democratic and anti -European forces (and, first of all – Russia) that Europe has learned to prevent disasters and protect its people.”
