Slovakia is preparing to transfer Ukraine S-300 system. Lavrov is outraged: “This is illegal”

Slovakia is ready to convey to Ukraine Russian S-300 missile defense systems facing the country. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia Yaroslav Naga after meeting with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin, reports the Edition Teraz.sk.

However, according to Nadia, Slovakia should receive compensation for this compensation in the form of other anti-aircraft complexes, such as American “Patriots”.

“We all strive to help Ukraine as soon as we can, but I am Minister of Defense of Slovakia. I have to think primarily about the defense interests of the republic,” said Slovak minister. Austin assured him that NATO solves the issue of adequate replacement.

After Slovakia, the American minister will go to Bulgaria, also discuss the transfer of Russian missile systems to Ukraine.

In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said that the Soviet and Russian missile defense systems according to the law could not be transferred to third countries. Moscow will not allow such actions, he noted.

Also Lavrov noted that any loads with weapons for Ukraine will be a legitimate goal for Russia, writes TASS.

“We were very clearly made to understand that any cargoes that would travel to the territory of Ukraine, which we will consider, transport weapons will be a legitimate goal,” he said.

Conversations about the supply to Ukraine S-300 systems are about a week. Earlier, the Ukrainian side requested to provide the country with these missile systems, since the Ukrainian military can contact them.
