Snow fell on Thursday in several Turkish provinces on the Black Sea coast, the region fills with rains.
“Yesterday there was a wonderful weather. In the morning we woke up – everything around in the snow. This is not winter, but summer, June!” – said TRT Haber TV channel resident of the village of Kavrun Yelashes Province Riza.
Snow fell on Thursday night in a number of alpine villages of Black Sea provinces Ardahan, Riza, Bolu, the snow also brought the popular ski resort on Erdjice Volcano in the Cayseri province in the center of the country, according to CNN TURK TV channel.
The five-meantimeter layer of snow was also covered by Mount Uludag (Olympus) in the city of Bursa in the west of Turkey. According to the channel AHABER, last week in the area the temperature reached +30.
Turkey’s General Department of Meteorology warned in Twitter about heavy rains on the entire Black Sea coast and called for citizens to measure precautions.
