According to Azertaj, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed as part of a visit to Azerbaijan on July 12 of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic for the transition period of Ahmed al-Sharaa.
Memorandum was signed by the Minister of Economics of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Sucar Supervisory Board Mikail Dzhabbarov and Minister of Energy of Syria Muhammad al-Bashir.
