Socus’s mosques are restored with support of Pasha Holding

As previously reported, on November 7, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the first Lady Mehriban Aliyev familiarized themselves with the recovery work carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Ashagha Rovhar’s mosque Aga in Shusha.

Assistant President of Azerbaijan Anar Alekperov informed the head of state Ilham Aliyev and the first Lady Mehriban Aliyev about the work done.

As you know, under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, the liberated territories are being implemented on the revival of Karabakh cultural heritage. Within the framework of this activity, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is implementing projects for the restoration of historical and cultural monuments.

Active work is carried out to restore the mosques destroyed by the Armenian occupation regime. All three mosques are included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of state importance. Immediately after the end of the Patriotic War, experts from Azerbaijan, Austria, Italy, Latvia and Turkey conducted evaluation work in these mosques and developed projects to restore historical and religious monuments.

Heydar Aliyev Foundation completed the first stage of restoration work in Yukhara Govhar Aga. Currently, the second stage of restoration work is completed in the mosque. At this stage, strengthening works will be carried out in the mosque with the condition of preserving its primordial type, it is also planned to restore the mosque located on the territory of the mosque and destroyed by Armenians. The greatest recovery work in accordance with the scales of destruction will be held in the ASHAGA AGA Mosque. It is planned to restore mosques minarets, as well as replacing the roof and floors.
