South Korea and Israel will jointly develop drones

The Korean Aircraft Industry (KAI) South Korean defense concern has signed a memorandum of intent for the joint development of unmanned aerial vehicles with the Israeli defense concern Elbit, NEWSru.co.il reports.

Development will be focused on the needs of the South Korean armed forces in the areas of intelligence, surveillance, target detection, etc.

In early March, KAI signed a memorandum of intent for the joint development of loitering ammunition with the state-owned Israeli Defense Industry concern. The parties also plan to jointly develop light helicopters.
