South Korea invested $ 73 million in the economy of Tajikistan over the past ten years. This was stated at the first meeting of the Coordinating Council on Economic Cooperation between the two countries.
According to ABEST, the meeting was chaired by the Minister of the Department of Sciences of the Zavka Amoni and the ambassador of South Korea in Tajikistan Jung Song Sika.
Amoni emphasized that Korea has established herself as a reliable and long -term partner, and the basis for such cooperation was laid down thanks to the foreign policy course of President Emomali Rahmon. “We see a steady increase in trust and partnership,” he said.
According to Amoni, over the past ten years, the volume of Korean investment projects in Tajikistan has reached $ 73 million.

As part of the meeting, the Tajik side presented a number of initiatives, including the creation of a digital service center at the ministry, the construction of solar power plants in remote areas and the construction of modern greenhouse complexes.
In addition, a proposal was made to create a joint industrial park in free economic zones and the development of export logistics.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a regular dialog for monitoring projects.
