South Korea handed over to China the remains of 30 Chinese troops who died on the side of North Korea during the Korean War of 1950-1953. This was reported by the Sinhua agency.
The remains of the soldiers of the People’s Army of China, together with their personal things, were delivered by a military transport aircraft at the Taosyan airport of the city of Shenyan, the administrative center of the province of Liaonin in the northeast of the country.
According to the agency, since 2014, the remains of 1011 were returned to China 1011 military personnel who died during the Korean War.
China in 1950-1953 supported North Korea, opposing the UN forces under the leadership of the United States, who fought on the side of South Korea.
