President of South Korea Lee Jae Meun again called for restoring the spoiled relations with Pyongyang.
The President of South Korea Lee for the first time after taking office headed a meeting of the National Security Council, Yonhap reports.
Repeating his call to restore spoiled relations with North Korea, Lee said: “The Intercorean world is the most realistic and practical way to protect our national security.”
The president also called for a wide discussion of a changing international order, the political situation in South Korea and factors related to North Korea to prevent threats of national security.
Lee, said that after taking office, he would strive to establish a dialogue with North Korea in order to strengthen the “peace and coexistence” on the peninsula. He emphasized the need for “stable, long -term relationships” with the north.
