South Korea Tested New Air-Earth Missile Of Large-range

South Korea successfully tested its own controlled missile of the Air-Earth class, which is at the development stage.

According to Yonhap agency with reference to representatives of the Agency for Defense Procurement (DAPA), the tests passed with the participation of the Air Force units.

According to officials, the main goal of tests was to check the ability of the rocket to safely separate from the aircraft without prejudice to its functionality. The tests were recognized as successful.

Representatives of DAPA noted that this launch has become an important milestone as part of a program for the development of large -range missiles, begun in 2018. It is planned that the missile will be integrated into the arsenal of multi-purpose KF-21 fighters for high-precision shocks.

Prior to the start of full-scale integration tests with KF-21, which are scheduled for 2027, the rocket will pass additional tests using the FA-50 light attack aircraft, ”said officials.
