South Korea will secretly put weapons to Ukraine

, in the framework of a secret transaction with the United States, South Korea will first put weapons to Ukraine, which can be used in the war with Russia. It is reported by The Wall Street Journal with reference to American officials.

According to them, Washington will buy 100,000 shells with a caliber of 155 mm from Seoul, which will be delivered to Ukraine. This is enough for several weeks of intense battles.

“Ukraine will need a significant number of artillery ammunition. The speed of their use in this war is very high,” one of the sources added.

Sending shells through the United States will allow South Korea not to violate their public promises and at the same time help Washington, who is her main ally in the confrontation with North Korea.

Earlier, South Korea previously stated that it would not supply Ukraine with a lethal weapon that could destroy the enemy’s manpower. Until now, despite Kyiv’s requests, deliveries have been limited to body armor, helmets, blankets and medicines (totaling $ 3.5 million).
