In the State Committee for Refugees and Forced Migrants, a meeting with Spanish -speaking foreign journalists took place – from Spain, Portugal, France, Argentina and other countries, as well as with the Israeli cinema leader Yair Simerman, who visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs.
The Chairman of the State Committee, Rovshan Rzaev, informed the guests in detail about the historical causes of the problem of refugees and the forced resettlement in Azerbaijan, the difficult consequences of the policy of deportation and occupation, carried out by Armenia, accepted measures to eliminate them, as well as the humanitarian activities of international organizations in this area.
It was noted that the Azerbaijani state takes all the necessary measures to ensure the return of forced immigrants on a voluntary basis. It is emphasized that the mine terror conducted by Armenia is a serious obstacle to this process.
Representatives of the Spanish -speaking media were informed of large -scale events undertaken in preparation for the great return, including restoration work in the city of Lachin, villages Zabukh and SUS, as well as the first results, the resettlement of the population to the Smart village of Agalya.
