Speaker of Parliament: Ankara advocates close partnership with Turkic -speaking countries

Turkey is aimed at further strengthening its positions in the international arena, turning into an even stronger power, the development of ties with Turkic -speaking countries. This was stated by the speaker of the Turkish parliament Numan Kurtulmush on Wednesday in Baku.

The parliamentary delegation of Turkey, as part of a visit to the Azerbaijani capital, visited the Schehids and the memorial to the Turkish soldiers.

Kurtulmush called Azerbaijan “Bratsk Country” and “The main partner of Turkey in the region of the South Caucasus.”

“Turkey gives special significance to relations with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRK) in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, and Azerbaijan – in the South Caucasus,” the speaker of the parliament emphasized.

He also attracted attention to the significance of the upcoming negotiations with President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani colleague Sahibo Gafarova.
