Speaker of Parliament of Mongolia: Kyrgyzstan – an important partner in Central Asia

About this, the chairman of the Great State Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia Gombozhan Zandanshatar said during official negotiations with the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev in Ulan-Bator, reports Montsame.

He noted that the Mongolian companies of the private sector are rapidly expanding their activities in the country’s market.

Zandanshatar expressed confidence that the visit of Shakiev will strengthen the inter -parliamentary cooperation of Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, and will also give an important impulse to the development of relations and cooperation between the two countries.

According to him, Mongolia attaches great importance to strengthening its developing relations with the Kyrgyz Republic, an important partner in Central Asia, as well as the expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.

Zandanshatar noted that being developing countries of the Central Asian region, which do not have access to the sea, Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan have the opportunity to develop multilateral cooperation in the future by exchange of experience.

In turn, Shakiev expressed satisfaction with a meeting with the chairman of the Great State Khural.

He noted that he will further take all the necessary measures to activate the interaction between the parliaments of the two countries and parliamentary groups, increase trade, supply of meat and meat products, leather, wool, cashmere from Mongolia, as well as fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan.

According to Shakiev, the opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Mongolia in 2023 had an important impact on the deepening of bilateral relations.

In the future, for cooperation between the two countries, it is important to activate relations and cooperation in the field of tourism, including in the aviation sector, to restore direct flights along the route of Ulan-Bator-Bishkek and increase the unhindered flow of citizens, the chairman of the Kyrgyz parliament said.

During the negotiations, the parties exchanged opinions in detail about the expansion of cooperation in the areas of trade, economics, investment, energy, transport, environment and tourism.
