Special services neutralized FSB saboteurs: they prepared killings of Ukrainian commanders

The Security Service of Ukraine managed to neutralize the Russian diversion-reconnaissance group (DRG), which prepared the murders of the commanders of special operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The exposure of the group headed by the personnel officer of the FSB was preceded by a multi -storey special operation in Kyiv and the Sumy region, they said in the Ukrainian intelligence service.

“One of their main tasks was to collect personal data and location of commanders of military units of special operations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the SBU said in a statement.

saboteurs planned to use this information to prepare the murders of the Ukrainian military and destroy their weapons and military equipment.

According to the SBU, one of the members of the group was a resident of the border region of the Sumy region, recruited to the FSB after the start of the Russian invasion. It was he who was in direct connection with his “curator” and coordinated with him plans and algorithms for actions to perform enemy tasks.

The suspects were detained at the moment when they took weapons from a pre -equipped cache in the Sumy region. When examining the cache, two anti -tank mines, two combat grenades and a Kalashnikov assault rifle were discovered, which DRG planned to use to perform sabotage. In the apartments of the detainees, investigators seized computers and mobile phones with evidence of a conspiratorial correspondence with a representative of the FSB, said in the department.
