The head of one of the largest laboratory networks in Kyrgyzstan, a citizen of Azerbaijan, Okubov Yarakhmedov, was detained by employees of the State Committee for National Security, the Evening Bishkek reports.
As the investigation established, S. Yarakhmedov arrived in Kyrgyzstan in March 2019 with a very specific purpose – to organize highly profitable commercial activities. In the summer of the same year, he became the executive director of the EUROLAB Laboratory, and two years later he was appointed general director of this laboratory.
As the company’s charter says, the main activity of Eurolab is “other healthcare activities”. “Other” means a fence of biomaterials and a wide range of analyzes. But, as it turned out, not only that.
From the court verdict, it became known that the management of this company, in order to effectively carry out its activities in Kyrgyzstan, organized and introduced a corruption system in the provision of medical services to the population of the country regarding the fence of blood and other laboratory tests. “
