Flood of Turkish aircraft from Borispol in December 2022 was provided as a result of the joint secret operation of the Ministry of Defense and special services of Ukraine and Turkey.
This was announced in an interview with the Ukrainian media by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasily Bodnar.
“I know that the corridors of security were agreed, since the airspace over Ukraine is controlled by our air defense forces,” he said.
According to him, the necessary engineering and technical work at the airport was carried out so that the planes could take off.
In addition, time was agreed and the air defense units were warned about the flight of these aircraft.
“thirdly, it was a secret that they learned only when the planes flew in,” said the diplomat.
According to the ambassador, the project was implemented thanks to the interaction between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Turkey.
“This demonstrates the success of the work of ministries of defense and special services that conducted this operation, the level of trust between the defense departments of our countries. We, I think, already find out after the war,” he said.
