Spielberg donated a million dollars for Ukraine

The famous American film director Stephen Spielberg and his wife Actress and the artist Kate Capschow handed over a million dollars as a humanitarian aid for refugees from Ukraine, reports on Thursday, March 17, Variety edition.

“Through his Hearthland Foundation Charitable Foundation, Spielberg and Capshow allocated money to several organizations in Ukraine, as well as in neighboring countries,” – the article says.

The publication notes that after the invasion of Russian troops to Ukraine turned millions of people in refugees, Hollywood stars pledged to collect funds for those in need.

It is known that Stephen Spielberg has Ukrainian roots. His ancestors were emigrated to the USA from Odessa and Kamenets-Podolsky. In 2006, Spielberg visited Kyiv as a producer of the Ukrainian-American documentary film about the Holocaust “Name His Name.” He got off the aircraft with the words “I am at home.”
