The liberation of the Azerbaijani land from the occupation prevented drug trafficking through these territories, said the chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehtiev at an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the education of the customs authorities of Azerbaijan and the professional holiday of customs officers.
“due to the overlapping of this channel of drug trafficking more than 2 tons of drugs was found and seized after the second half of last year,” leads his words local media.
Safar Mehtiev also noted that in 2021, the Smart Customs service and other electronic services took advantage of more than 14 million times. 7-8 million from these services are on individuals.
