State Council of France approved ban on wearing in Abayi schools

The State Council of France, which is the highest instance of administrative supervision, approved the ban on wearing in the educational institutions of Abaya – a long Arab dress.

This is stated in the message posted on the website of the State Council ..

“The State Council rejected the complaint about the ban on wearing Abayi in state educational institutions. The ban on wearing this type of clothing is not a violation of fundamental freedoms,” the message says.

Earlier, the Minister of National Education and in Youth Affairs of France, Gabriel Attal, banned the wearing of this type of clothing in schools. According to the decision of Attal, Abaya is Muslim clothing and on this basis its wearing falls under the ban on the demonstration of religious symbols in educational institutions.
