State Department announced deep involvement in Azerbaijani-Armenian settlement

The entire apparatus and Secretary of State Blinken continue to very actively search for peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, paying close attention to this, said Deputy Socialist of the State Department Vedante Patel.

“We believe that a direct dialogue is the key to solving this problem, and therefore we continue to actively deal with this issue,” he said.

Patel’s comments followed the calls of Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, in which he called on the parties to plan further negotiations, as previously agreed in Washington.

“The constant participation of the Secretary of State in this matter is the result of the USED of a peaceful future in the region of the South Caucasus,” he said.
