The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced the shelling of the Armenian military positions of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
According to the military department, in the last days of the Armenian armed forces units on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border, the Azerbaijani army is intensively firing. So, in the evening of September 5, units of the Armed Forces of Armenia from the perspective located in the direction of the settlements of Yukhara Sorge and Azizli of the Basarkchara district on the state border subjected to shelling the positions of the Azerbaijan army from various types of small arms, deployed in the direction of the settlements of Zievel and Ellidge of the Kelbadzharsky district.
Azerbaijani army units adequate response measures were taken, the Ministry of Defense reports.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan notes that all responsibility for the tension that has recently arisen lies with the military-political leadership of Armenia.
