The other day it was reported that the employees of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan detained the “accountant” of the ISIS terrorist organization hiding in various countries. The press service of the SGB on Friday, February 24, distributed an application in this regard.
The message notes that the employees of the State Security Service as a result of the operational investigative measures detained a citizen of Azerbaijan Mirjavad Seidag Ogly Salakhov on suspicion of criminal actions related to the financing of the ISIS terrorist organization.
According to the report, Mirjavad Salakhov, having entered the ISIS in the Syrian city of Rakka, was sent to a special training camp, where he took part in military exercises, studied the rules for using firearms.
Further in the statement of the SGB it is noted that after Salahov he began to work as an accountant in ISIS. He organized the monthly provision of cash and food products of members of the terrorist organization and their families, including families of dead members of the group. To avoid criminal liability, Salakhov was specified in other countries for some time.
It was established that Salakhova was attracted to a series of ISIS, his brother – Mirjalal Salakhov. The latter was wounded during the fighting in Syria, the message was noted.
Mirjavad Salakhov was charged under Articles 214-1 (financing of terrorism) and 283-1.3 (participation in armed conflicts outside the country), his brother Mirjalal Salakhov-281-1.1 and 283-1.3 (involvement in armed conflicts outside the country and participation in such armed conflicts) of the Criminal Code of the AR, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against them.
