Deputy Chief of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan has been appointed Acting Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Sputnik Armenia was told by the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia Mane Gevorgyan.
Galstyan was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces in June 2018.
At the same time, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan submitted to President Armen Sarkissian a petition to appoint Artak Davtyan to the post of head of the General Staff.
Let us remind you that Onik Gasparyan was dismissed from the post of head of the General Staff of Armenia on March 10.
