North Atlantic Alliance is ready to “put on the table of negotiations” with Russia its specific security proposals for their further discussion with Moscow. This was stated by the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference in Brussels, reports TASS.
“We emphasized our specific suggestions on the negotiating table and discuss them with Russia,” he stated and stressed that Moscow at a meeting of the Russian Federation – NATO 12 January had not yet given an answer to NATO’s offer to start a series of security consultations .
According to Stoltenberg, NATO is ready to discuss missile armaments with Russia, but specific rapidness thresholds should not be discussed publicly, it will reduce the possibilities for negotiations.
