Sudan extended ban on flights in country’s airspace on Saturday

Sudan extended on Saturday a ban on flights in the airspace of the country for all aircraft with the exception of the sides that deliver humanitarian aid to the country.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Sudan determined the points to which humanitarian aid from the international community will be directly delivered. This is the seaport and airport of the city of Port Sudan, the international airport of the capital of the country and the Vadi-Saidne Airport, located north of Hartum.

In addition, the Sudanese government decided to consider the city of Vad-Medani, located about 200 km southeast of the capital of the country, Hartum, as a “main point for receiving international humanitarian aid.”

In recent weeks, WAD Medani has become a place in which Sudanese accumulated, forced to leave their homes after the start of the Armed conflict between the Sudanese army and the detachments of rapid response forces.
