Super moon in Azerbaijan

Today there is a phenomenon of super moon. As Baku State University reports, today two important astronomical events associated with the moon have also occurred: this is periga (the point of the lunar orbit to the ground) and the full moon.

Perige was registered at 13:09 by Baku time. The moon approached the ground at a distance of 357263 km, and the visible diameter of the moon was 33 minutes 27 seconds. The full moon appeared at 22:38 Baku time.

The phenomenon of super moon can be observed from the territory of Azerbaijan throughout the night.

This is the second super moon of 2022. The first occurred on June 14, at that time the distance to the moon was 357433 km.
