Supreme Court did not satisfy complaint of former deputy minister of culture

The Supreme Court examined the cassation appeal against the former deputy minister of culture Rafig Bayramov, reports haqqin.az.

The court did not satisfy Bayramov’s complaint about recognizing him innocent and issuing an acquittal. The decision of the Baku Court of Appeal was upheld.

Rafig Bayramov was detained in May 2020 during the operation of the State Security Service. He was accused of abuse of official duties, appropriation and official forgery and sentenced to 8 years in prison. Then the Baku Court of Appeal reduced the term to 4 years and 6 months in prison.
