Sweden and Denmark allocated more than $ 2 million to help Turkey and Syria

Sweden allocates the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society of 7 million Croats ($ 657 thousand) for emergency assistance in overcoming the consequences of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

This was announced at a press conference by the Minister of Civil Defense Charles Oskar Bolin.

“Sweden immediately allocates 7 million kroons to the red cross for humanitarian aid of Turkey and Syria, – he explained. – 5 million will be sent to the red crescent of Turkey, 2 million – Syria.”

Stockholm also sends tents, equipment and temporary housing to the victims and provides expert assistance. The government emphasizes that it is ready to provide additional assistance to Turkey and Syria in the future if necessary.

Denmark also announced the allocation of Turkey and Syria of 10 million kroons ($ 1.44 million). Funds will go to water, food and tents for the victims, as well as to work to eliminate the consequences of earthquakes. Money will be distributed through the organizations with which Denmark works, the Minister of Development Dan Yornsen told Ritzaus Bureau. The Kingdom Government notes that the size of assistance can be increased.
