The Federal Government of Switzerland issued a warning in connection with the expected high temperature in this week in most of the country. The government published a written statement in connection with the waves of the heat that covered the country.
In particular, the country’s authorities issued a “danger level of the 3rd level” in connection with the expected high temperature in the country’s territory.
This warning will spread to a significant part of the Western Switzerland, some regions of the country and Canton Ticino. The statement of the Swiss Federal Department of Meteorology and Climatology (Meteoswiss), the risk zone includes the area of Lake Geneva, the Valley of the Brai River in Canton Friburg and Canton Ticino. In addition, the list includes Zurich, Zoloturn, Basel and some areas of Canton Bern.
The 3rd level warning is announced when it is expected that the average daily temperature exceeds 25 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
