As a result of armed clashes between the Druzhsky and Bedouin groups in the Southern Syrian province of Eswood, 30 people were killed, about 100 were injured. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Syria.
As specified in the department, the incidents occurred in the Macauus area against the backdrop of the lack of state structures and the preserved vacuum in the field of security.
“The ongoing violence causes growing anxiety in society, despite numerous calls for de -escalation,” the published statement said.
The ministry emphasized that what is happening is a direct threat to the civilian population and causes serious damage to public agreement. In this regard, the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during coordination from the country’s Ministry of Defense were sent to the area to stabilize the situation.
In addition, the statement emphasizes that all persons involved in armed clashes will be submitted to the judicial authorities. It is noted that to prevent the repetition of such incidents, all the necessary measures will be taken.
According to local sources, the escalation began after representatives of both sides captured each other’s cars. The conflict quickly grew into fierce battles using heavy weapons.
