Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa discussed with the American company Chevron the possibility of cooperation in the field of oil and natural gas exploration on the west coast of the country.
According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, President Sharaa took part in a meeting in the capital Damascus, at which the possibility of cooperation between the Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC) and the American company Chevron in the field of oil and natural gas exploration on the west coast was discussed country.
The parties assessed the technical, legal and economic aspects of joint exploration work in the maritime zone.
The meeting was also attended by a high-level delegation, which included US Special Representative for Syria Thomas Barrack, Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Sheibani, SPC General Director Youssef Kablawi, Chevron Vice President Rank Mount and Regional Development Director Joe Koch.
