Syrian and Russian aircraft conducted military exercises

Employees of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia and the Syrian Arab Air Force (Air Force) worked together maneuvers to reflect air strikes of a conditional enemy, and also patrol along the borders of the SAR, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports.

The crews of Russian Su-24M, Su-34, Su-35C and Syrian fighters MiG-23ML and MiG-29 took part in the training flight. Representatives of Russia started from the Khmeimim airbase, and their Syrian colleagues from Sikal and Dumair airfields in the vicinity of Damascus.

According to the scenario of the exercises, the pilots were supposed to repel the attack of a conditional enemy who violated the country’s airspace. After daytime exercises, Syrian Air Force employees also worked out launches at night. It is noted that all strategic goals were destroyed.
