Tajik-Uzbek cooperation was discussed in Dushanbe

The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon accepted the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullo Aripov. This was reported by Gossmi Tajikistan.

Aripov arrived in Tajikistan to participate in the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Dushanbe.

The parties discussed a set of issues related to the current state and prospects for relations of friendship, cooperation and partnership of the two countries.

The issues of the agenda of the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation were also raised.

During the meeting, a bilateral trade was noted, the volume of which last year amounted to more than 504 million dollars,

It is emphasized the presence of opportunities and resources for a multiple increase in this indicator. In this context, much attention was paid to the expansion of cooperation in the areas of industry, agriculture, energy, including the production of “green energy” and the development of the “green economy”.

One of the main topics of the conversation was the consideration of ways to expand scientific, technical and cultural and educational connections.
