Tajikistan And Bulgaria Are Configured To Expand Cooperation In Industrial And Digital Spheres

In the capital of Tajikistan Dushanbe, negotiations were held between the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria Atanas Zafirov, during which the possibilities of launching new economic and technological projects were discussed.

The parties exchanged views on the development of industrial cooperation, paying special attention to the processing of natural resources and strengthening trade ties. Sherali Kabir expressed the readiness of Dushanbe for cooperation in such directions as non -ferrous metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, equipment production and light industry.

The Minister emphasized that Tajikistan has significant potential in the field of strategic raw materials, including graphite, antimony, copper and lithium, and is open for the joint development and processing of these resources.

The mechanisms of establishing cotton and the creation of joint enterprises for the production of textile products focused on export to the EU countries were also considered mechanisms for the supply of cotton.

Digital transformation has become one of the key topics of the dialogue. The Tajik side introduced the national strategy for AI, emphasizing that the republic became a pioneer in this direction among the countries of the region. The prospects for the exchange of experience and the creation of joint projects in the field of digital technologies and innovations were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the Tajik minister invited the Bulgarian delegation to take part in the first textile forum, which will be held in July in Dushanbe, expressing hope for a further deepening of bilateral contacts.

Both parties confirmed the mutual interest in the development of sustainable economic dialogue and the implementation of specific initiatives in the interests of the two countries.
