Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed delimitation and demarcation of border 17 March

In the city of Buston of the Sogdian region of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting of the co-chairs of government delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan on the division and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border of the Kamchybek Tashiev and Saimutimov, the press service of the Kyrgyz government.

In the course of the meeting, the heads of government delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan discussed the issues of the Delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border and gave specific instructions to the working groups of government delegations on the division and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border to continue work to further determine the passage of the border line of the two states the remaining areas. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the report said.

The length of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is about 972 kilometers. At the moment, an agreement has been reached on an 889-kilometer site, which corresponds to approximately 90 percent.
