Tajikistan and Oman are aimed at expanding cooperation in various sectors- from finance and energy to tourism and architecture. This became obvious based on the results of the round table held in the capital of Oman Maskat, Avest reports.
The organizers of the meeting were the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Oman and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman. The event was held under the co -chairs of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan Zubaidullo Zubaisodes and the head of the Office for the countries of the Gulf and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman – Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashila al -Mascari.
The key accent of the meeting was the discussion of the legal framework for expanding bilateral contacts.
According to participants, the strengthening of contractual mechanisms creates the necessary conditions for the practical launch of joint initiatives.
The Ambassador of Zubaisoda emphasized that the development of relations with the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, including Oman, occupies an important place in the foreign policy strategy of Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon.
He also noted that the interaction between the countries of the region and the states of the Gulf promotes the formation of a wide geo -economic platform connecting the Central Asia with the Arab world.
Participants of the round table paid special attention to the investment potential of Tajikistan.
The parties presented a video material that demonstrates promising directions for investments – from industry to agriculture.
The final stage of the meeting was the discussion of the draft executive program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Oman at 2026-2027.
The program involves regular bilateral consultations, joint forums and the exchange of experience between specialized departments of the two countries.
