Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of energy, oil and gas, as well as sustainable management of water resources. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In Dushanbe, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Jumya held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to the Republic Walid ibn Abdurrahman Ar-Reshaidon.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and discussed the prospects for cooperation in the implementation of joint projects for the development of green energy. energy, exploration and production of new oil and gas fields, as well as in the field of rational use and management of water resources.
Minister Juma emphasized that Tajikistan attaches special importance to strengthening the partnership with Saudi Arabia and is ready to further expand interaction in these areas.
Earlier, on October 29, a meeting was held in Riyadh with the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of Tajikistan, Rajabali Rahmonali with Director General of Civil Defense of Saudi Arabia Hamoud Al-Faraj. As a result of the negotiations, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of civil defense and public protection.
