Expanding cooperation with UNESCO in the field of science, education, culture and environmental protection remains a strategic priority for Dushanbe. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, at the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, held in Samarkand.
According to the minister, Tajikistan considers the use of artificial intelligence for sustainable development as one of the key areas of joint work with UNESCO.
Muhriddin emphasized that the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people is an integral part of world civilization and serves as a support for new forms of international interaction.
The minister paid special attention to the issues of climate change and accelerated melting of glaciers. The head of the Tajik delegation recalled that the first High-Level International Conference on Glacier Conservation, held in Dushanbe in May 2025, opened a new stage of global cooperation in this area.
