During the first Fergana Peace Forum, held on October 15-16 in Uzbekistan, representatives of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan confirmed their desire to strengthen friendship, brotherhood and mutual trust between the peoples of Central Asia. This was reported by Tajik state media.
Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan (ISRS) Eldor Aripov noted that the Fergana Valley, which for many years was perceived as a zone of complex contradictions, is today becoming an example of a new level of cooperation and mutual understanding between the countries of the region.
“We are witnessing the formation of a new philosophy of regional coexistence based on openness, mutual respect and joint creation,” said Aripov.
Chairman of the Sughd region of Tajikistan Rajab Ahmadzoda noted that the forum contributes to the further rapprochement of the three states of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
“We We continue the ancient tradition of good neighborliness, strengthening friendship, brotherhood and trust as the basis of stability and development of the region,” he emphasized.
Ahmadzoda recalled the trilateral summit of the leaders of the three countries, held in Khujand on March 31, 2025, which resulted in the signing of the Declaration of Eternal Friendship. According to him, active cooperation between the regions, including joint fairs, cultural and sporting events, helps strengthen economic and social ties.
Chairman of the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Shamenov noted that the wise policy of the leaders of the three states strengthens peace and mutual understanding in Central Asia.
“Today we see the results of this policy stability, trust and joint development,” he emphasized.
The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen the interregional partnership and implement joint initiatives in the interests of peace and sustainable development of the region.
