Taxi Drivers In Athens Go On 48-hour Strike

Taxi drivers have begun a 48-hour strike in Athens to demand lower taxes and the abolition of competing digital apps.

The strike was decided by the call of the Attica Taxi Drivers’ Union (SATA).

The strike, which began today at 06.00, will last until Friday 06.00, resulting in no work in the region taxi.

Taxi drivers demand lower taxes, allowing taxis to use the lane allocated for buses, and the abolition of digital applications that compete with taxis.
